The 100G QSFP28 SR4 optical module is a parallel optical module with four independent transmitting and receiving channels and an 8-stroke 12-core MTP/MPO interface. the maximum transmission distance can reach 100m by matching multimode jumper OM3. The main application scenario is 100G data center. The 100g QSFP28 SR4 optical module operates at a wavelength of 850nm and a temperature range of 0 °C to 70 °C. it has a built-in digital diagnostic function (DDM).
The 100G QSFP28 PSM4 optical module conforms to the 100G PSM4 standard and adopts the parallel transmission mode of single-mode fiber. Each 100G model uses 8-core single-mode fiber to form four independent channels, and each channel transmits 25G data. This optical module uses a 12-core MPO/MTP interface, in which the middle 4-core fiber of the MPO/MTP interface is not enabled. 100g QSFP28 PSM4 optical module is usually used with OS2 single-mode fiber, and the transmission distance can reach 500m.
100g QSFP28 LR4 optical module adopts QSFP28 package and dual LC interface, and the maximum transmission distance can reach 10KM by matching single-mode jumper OS2. The main application scenarios are 100G Ethernet and metro optical transport network. The 100g QSFP28 LR4 optical module has operating wavelengths of 1295, 1300, 1304, 1309nm, operating temperature range of 0 °C ~ 70 °C, and built-in digital diagnostic function (DDM).
The transmission rate of QSFP28 CWDM4 optical module is 103.1Gbp, which is mainly used in computing, high-frequency trading and other fields, and its cost is obviously higher than that of QSFP28 PSM4 optical module. Through the coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) technology, the QSFP28 CWDM4 optical module multiplexes four wavelengths of 1270nm, 1290nm, 1310nm and 1330nm onto a single-mode fiber for transmission.
